first time drivng. (not yet...)
yesterday had my first driving lesson. it was actually a five hour course but i stayed at the driving centre frm 8am - 5pm. the best part is tt i have a driver to send me to the driving centre n back home! haha. the whole cost for the driving course including tests is RM 946 but there's no need to pay everything at a go.
anyway, there are 3 breaks within the five hour course so tt we do not get bored or fall asleep during the lesson.perhaps it's becos now we are having long holidays, the population of the pple attending the course is 100% not older than 25 yrs old, among them abt 85% is just 17 yrs old which is the minimum age to qualify for applying the driving license. hehe.
i think we have to go thru a lot in order to get that one piece of card
(ie: driving license.) first hafta attend 5 hrs course followed by a test on the road signs n stuff. then, there comes another 6 hr course :- 3 hrs of theory lessons n 3 hrs of practical lesson. after which there'll be 9 hrs of training session for driving. then it will be the test conducted by the trainer frm the driving center. if u pass, there's another test frm the LTA officer. finally u get ur license if u pass this as well. haix. overall it takes abt 2-3 mths to complete everything, which means i can only get my license earliest by feb or march.
the lecturers were humorous. we were looking at how many casualties are there in an accident n then the lecturer anaylised tt almost 750 ppl died in an accident n it means almost 1.5 ppl die every hr!! this is scary lorh...
hmm. in any case, the lecturer also said tt male drivers were reckless n tt's how they often got themselves involved in accidents n now the trainers tend to let female drivers pass in driving tests. haha.
